Creative Chaos Award *** Thank you Mel!
I want to thank my VERY Creative Friend
Mel at I Am Not She
for passing on the Creative Chaos Award to Step on a Crack.
I gotta say, this is the Coolest looking award yet
and it is coming from one of the Coolest Women on this planet too!
Somehow this is fitting:
Growing up with alcoholics was growing up in Chaos.
I had to be Creative to survive and come out the other side
Clean and Sober
and just a tad bit nutty.
I like that.
“Take what you want; leave the rest behind”
Works in life too.
I will keep the nutty part just for kicks!
Creative Chaos Award
First Task: Three weird things I/you do:
1. I try to make words out of the letters on license plates at stop signs.
2. I do not step on cracks. I really don’t.
3. When I say, “I have a crazy idea…” for some reason my whole family scatters.
(Is that me doing a weird thing, or them doing a weird thing? I have GREAT crazy ideas….)
Second Task:
You must tell why you look at the “glass half full” scenario and ask “what? No coffee?”
My glass is generally half-full. When you have a Glass Half-Full, it is VERY important to have enough energy for what Life holds in store for you. You MUST be caffeinated enough to Carpe Diem!
My glass is Half-Full of coffee; espresso to be exact.
Third Task:
You find yourself in a desolate place when your car breaks down. You have no cellphone service, no Walmart, and only a candy bar for food. It is 150 miles to the closest town. What color are your pants and why?
Black pants; Duh.
I ALWAYS wear ALL Black even in the desert in the middle of summer and I ALWAYS will.
“The New Black” What the Hell is that about?
There will NEVER be a NEW Black!
I do not think there is a point to this exercise. Sometimes I think we need to let go and Be Goofy. Perhaps this is a Koan.
This award reminds me of the Buddhist teacher, Trungpa Rinpoche.
Trungpa was known for what is called Crazy Wisdom.
(See this blog for more info on Trungpa: Jizo Chronicles )
Here is an example of Trungpa’s Crazy Wisdom:
“For the Shambhala warrior, the actual, basic notion of victory is not so much that you have one-upped your enemy and therefore you are victorious. Rather, no enemy exists at all; therefore, there is victory. This is the idea of unconditional warriorship and unconditional victory. In connection with this, the concept of sacredness is that fearlessness is carried into everyday life situations, even brushing your teeth.”
Not so Crazy is it?
And for the nominees?
Oh you lucky nutty souls with your own Crazy Wisdom!
May the force be with you;
you Creative and Nutty Souls!
(Mel had this posted on her nomination and really, it just fits….)
Peace, Jen

I want to thank everyone who has nominated me for an award recently!
I am stunned and honored.
I will nominate others very very soon!
Thank you for the support….

My Love THAT is just one of the things I love about you! I would follow you too Sweetheart…
Love, Jen
Funnnnnny! Creative and Chaotic…Comes across as one genuine and hilarious award. Congratulations Jen.
Crazy Wisdom? Okay, I’ve been called worse and this comes across as a compliment
Thank you dear Jen.
Luv and hugz, Eric
Eric,
It is a compliment! Crazy Wisdom is what drives our culture in the right direction. That is what you do my Friend!
Add this to your Award Room!
XO Jen
Jen,
Thanks for this, I have to admit that one of my nick names in my army unit is Capt. Chaos, the reasons for this I will explain one day, but perhaps not now.
Capt. Savage
(Always makes an impression, even if it’s only with his shoes)
Captain,
I look forward to finding out why you are Captain Chaos. I am sure it is fitting!
Does throwing shoes at a press conference count as Making Impressions with Shoes?
Peace, Jen
Congrats…Nothing’s better than another black:)
Mira!
Yes “May I have a bit more Black Please?”
Thank you for stopping by!
Peace, Jen
Well I’m generous, but regarding black; let’s share it:)
Congratulations Jen. A very weird award. I’m chaotic that’s a fact, ask my mum, but am I creative? I don’t know. I guess you think so, dear Jen otherwise you wouldn’t have nominated me and Crazy wisdom I have plenty, it’s the other wisdom I lack.
Thank you for thinking of me Jen.
Love, Steph
Dear Steph,
You and your blog bring delight every single day. You are creative! I must have been psychic in knowing Chaos was in there too! : )
Thank the Gods for your Crazy Wisdom my Friend..
Love, Jen
“When I say, “I have a crazy idea…” for some reason my whole family scatters.
(Is that me doing a weird thing, or them doing a weird thing? I have GREAT crazy ideas”
One day tell us about some of them. Congrats my friend. Deserve it.
Dear Maiya,
SO GOOD to ‘see’ you here!
I just might share my Crazy Ideas. Maybe someone here will appreciate them more than my family; of course, it is EASY to appreciate something you don’t have to take part in…
XO Jen
Congratulation to you dear and thank you, thank you so much for this mention… I highly appreciate this
